Epic Armageddon: Knight Households 2.0 vs. Imperial Guard Steel Legion 3000pts

I got a great game of Epic in this morning against a local compatriot.  The battle report is over on the Taccoms forums:

That said, here's one of the photos that didn't make it into the report, from just before the last charge of the Light Brigade:

It was a fun game, and I'm starting to get the hang of this list.  Larger formations definitely handle better than smaller formations, and can absorb a lot more punishment.  That said, that only means that when the hammer does finally fall on the formation, it's a lot more likely to die spectacularly under the weight of all of the previously-suffered fire and blast markers.  It's still very much a gambler's list given the relatively low activation count, and as hard as I try not to get my battle line turned (and get cross-fired by formations that slip past my line of advance), the inevitable mid-game pivot to handle a break in the middle of the battle line can result in horrible losses.

Not Dead, Just Inconsistent

Which in the world of blogs is probably the same thing, but anyhow.  More's coming to the blog; I managed to get some decent painting in over the holiday that I need to update, and when I have the time I have some crafting projects I'm working on.

In the pipeline:

  • Epic:  Armageddon - Iron Warriors Chaos Space Marines! (PIP)
  • Battlefleet Gothic - alternative Vengeance-class Grand Cruiser prow! (WIP)
  • Battlefleet Gothic - more Voss-pattern cruisers & escorts for my Armageddon Battlefleet!
  • Epic:  Armageddon - Adeptus Titanicus detachment!
